Zionsville — James Jerome Krupowicz, of Zionsville, passed away March 14, 2013, after a hard-fought battle with renal cancer.

He was an active member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Westfield, where he was involved with the Confirmation Youth Ministry and various other church ministries.

In whatever spare time Jim had, he liked nothing more than spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife, Debra M. (Deeter) Krupowicz, whom he married Sept. 29, 1979; his daughters, Amber Witherbee, KimberLee Gummere (Robert), Janelle Hocutt (Zach), and Katelyn Krupowicz (Jason LaPaglia); eight grandchildren; his mother, Geraldine Krupowicz; siblings, Philip Krupowicz (Donna), Rosanne Deardurff (Chris), William Krupowicz (Kathy), and Joanne Sebold (Terry); in-laws, Walter and Ellen Deeter; and brothers-in-law, Raymond Deeter (Nancy) and Clayton Deeter (Lee).

Visitation and a rosary service were Monday, March 18, 2013, at Flanner and Buchanan Zionsville. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 17102 Spring Mill Road, Westfield, on Tuesday, March 19, with calling until time of service.
