---- — I knew it was bound to happen someday in the not-too-distant future; it finally came to pass that I had to lay my beloved Toyota Rav4 to rest. Fittingly, my daughter and I had one last adventure before “Roada Rav” went home … really … she went back to the same dealership in the same city where I bought her new 14.5 years ago. But the night before that Carrie and I took her out on the snowy roads to hear a band in Fountain Square. Carrie navigated, just like old times when she was growing up and we used to take road trips all over the United States. Normally, Carrie’s an excellent navigator, but occasionally her internal GPS is discombobulated. This was one of those times. From her place just south of Carmel, we drove around the east side of the city, got off at the East Street exit and somehow ended up clear over on West Street. We headed into downtown Indy then looped back around to go into the Fountain Square area from a different direction. From that perspective, Carrie’s navigational skills kicked back in and we found our destination. See Wednesday's Times Sentinel for the full story.
