Littering ticks me off. It's not only disrespectful to Mother Nature; it's disrespectful to the rest of us who have to live with it.
It's ugly and toxic. Why would anyone want to spoil the beauty and natural resources that surround us? I've thought so since my childhood when an adult would let a chewing gum wrapper flutter out the car window.
I think it even more now when I see neighborhood people of all ages simply drop a candy wrapper, a Styrofoam cup or even an entire fast-food bag of trash on the ground as they finish with it. I've seen them drop trash on the ground right by a Dumpster rather than walk 10 extra steps to drop it inside the Dumpster. Again, why?
Let me just answer my own question: laziness, apathy, ignorance.
