Woman’s Club meets for Christmas tea
The Zionsville Woman’s Club will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, for a Christmas Tea, at Joan Voyles’ home.

parent’s night out
The R.O.C.K. program, a ministry of the Zionsville United Methodist Church is offering a Parent’s Night Out on Friday, Dec. 7. All kids are welcome. R.O.C.K. is a Christian Before and After School and Summer Camp for children ages kindergarten through sixth grade. Drop off your children ages 3 years old to sixth-grade while you Christmas shop or enjoy an evening of adult conversation.
Our highly trained and enthusiastic staff will feed your child, watch a Christmas movie with them and tend to their needs for $10 per child and $5 for each additional sibling.
Drop off is between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and pick up is at 9:30 p.m.

St. Al’s hosts
The St. Alphonsus Ligouri Catholic Church Knights of Columbus will host area World War II Veterans at a Recognition Banquet from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the church’s Parish Hall, 1870 W. Oak St.
The community is also invited to attend and express gratitude to World War II veterans for their service.
Gen. Tom Jones will deliver the welcoming address. Knights of Columbus Honor Guard will present the colors and a special program displaying flags used in military campaigns. The event is free. R.S.V.P. to Jim Weaver at 873-2231.
Ensemble performs ‘Nutcracker’
The Central Indiana Dance Ensemble will have its 14th performance of “The Nutcracker” Dec. 7 to 9. Zionsville resident Kalyn Sankey will perform as the sugar plum fairy.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7; 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Zionsville Performing Arts Center.
