More than 30 children participated in a painting lesson Saturday, March 16, at the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library in honor of Youth Art Month. They learned about Picasso and his “blue period” and each drew a face, painting the portraits using only blue, black and white paint. The students, taught by Jenny Tucker, owner and founder of A Space to Create, 65 E. Cedar St., are shown above with their “wonderfully sad” portraits.
