Police reports for March 19

At 12:50 a.m. Sunday, March 16, Lawrence Fon of Zionsville reported criminal mischief. The police report states his mailbox on the 200 block of Governors Lane was damaged between 10:30 p.m. March 15 and 12:01 March 16. The estimated loss is $75. A second mailbox in the same block was also damaged during the same time frame. The damage was also valued at $75.

At 2:10 a.m. Friday, March 14, police responded to a report of an accident with injuries on Ford Road just north of State Road 334. When they arrived they discovered one of the drivers involved, Margaret Curry of Zionsville, was intoxicated. She was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital on 86th Street. Curry was not arrested but charges have been filed.

At 3:37 p.m. Thursday, March 13, Jose Andres-Romualdo of Indianapolis was arrested for operating a vehicle while never having a license. The police report states he was involved in a vehicle accident at State Road 334 and Sixth Street.

At 6:15 a.m. Thursday, March 13, Scott Whitlock of Central Indiana Transmission reported theft. The police report states an unidentified subject broke a vehicle window and took a vehicle registration between 7 p.m. March 12 and 6:15 a.m. March 13. The estimated loss is $600.

At 4:43 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, Marda Craig of Zionsville reported criminal mischief. The police report states cable wires were cut and pulled from the side of her house in the 500 block of West Poplar Street between 8 a.m. and 4:43 p.m.

At 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, Kathy Glapa of Zionsville reported theft. The police report states an alto sax and case was stolen at Zionsville Community High School between Feb. 29 and March 3. The estimated loss is $850.

At 2:02 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, Steve Jones of Sheridan reported theft. The police report states a baritone horn was stolen from the 100 block of North Ninth Street between Feb. 19 and March 12. The estimated loss is $2,000.

At 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, Jackie Cook of Zionsville reported theft. The police report states a silver CD player was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Red Bud Lane between noon on March 10 and 6 a.m. on March 11.

At 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, Eric Robinson of Zionsville reported theft. The police report states an unidentified subject broke into his truck on the 500 block of Century Oaks Drive between 9:30 p.m. March 11 and 8 a.m. March 12, and stole tools, CDs, sunglasses, a digital camera and other items. The estimated loss is $1,500.

At 10:19 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, Patrick Eaker of Lebanon was served a warrant by the Zionsville Police Department for probation violation.

At 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, David Jones of Lebanon reported theft. The police report states an alto sax was stolen at ZCHS between 8:30 a.m. March 1 and 8:30 a.m. March 3. The estimated loss is $2,098.

In accident news, at 10:13 p.m. Thursday, March 13, Michael Delacruz, 33, of Lafayette was driving black 2006 Kia Optima, and Margaret Curry, 63, of Zionsville was driving a blue 2004 Dodge Sebring. Delacruz was exiting a parking lot onto Ford Road and pulled in front of Curry. Delacruz said he did not see Curry, and she struck Delacruz’s vehicle. Curry complained of pain and was transported to St. Vincent Hospital. A blood alcohol test revealed she had a .11 percent BAC. The estimated damage is $10,011 to $25,000.

At 9:40 a.m. Thursday, March 13, Travis Cameron, 16, of Zionsville was driving a blue 2001 BMW 330I, and Aaron Gold, 27, of Zionsville was driving a black 2001 Acura. The police report states both vehicles were traveling south on Ford Road approaching Oak Street. Gold stopped due to possible west-bound traffic on Oak Street and Cameron rear-ended his vehicle. The estimated damage is $1,001 to $2,500.

At 7 a.m. Thursday, March 13, Brenda Keller, 51, of Pittsboro was driving a black 1988 BMW 325I. The police report states she was driving east on State Road 334 just past Elm Street when a deer ran in front of her car and she struck it. The estimated damage is $750 to $1,000. The deer escaped.

At 1:35 p.m. Monday, March 10, Ruthanna Grizzle, 61, of Zionsville was driving a red 2001 Ford Edge, and Leslie Arney, 38, of Zionsville was driving a black 2005 Toyota Camry. The police report states both were backing out of parking spots on the 1400 block of West Oak Street and struck each other. The estimated damage is $2,501 to $5,000.
