Police reports for April 9
Staff report
At 7 p.m. Saturday, April 5, Jennifer Schipper of Zionsville reported harassment. The police report states someone has been harassing her by phone between February 16 and April 5.
At 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, Ava Memmen of Zionsville reported theft. The police report states her daughter used her debit card at the Zionsville CVS Store, and shortly after that -- at 3:30 p.m. on April 1 -- it was used by an unidentified subject at a local gas station.
At 12:51 a.m. Saturday, April 5, Elizabeth Gallagher of Indianapolis reported harassment. The police report states she received harassing and threatening phone calls between 9:09 p.m. April 4 and 12:51 a.m. April 5.
At 4:36 p.m. Friday, April 4, Rosie Handley of the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library reported criminal mischief. The police report states paint was chipped off a railing by two bicyclists sometime between March 23 and April 4.
At 1:47 p.m. Thursday, April 3, William Strattman of Lapel was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The police report states an anonymous caller reported a drunk driver at the intersection of Fifth and Walnut streets.
At 11:31 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, Sonitrol reported a burglary. The police report states the company received an alarm of a burglary at Golf Solutions on the 10700 block of Bennett Parkway. A burglary had occurred and the door lock and door frame were damaged.
At 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, Zionsville Eye Care reported theft. The police report states a pair of sunglasses were stolen. The estimated loss is $225.
At 9 p.m. Monday, April 1, Emmanuel Powell of Indianapolis was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The police report states he was stopped for an equipment violation on Zionsville Road at 96th Street and found to have a suspended license. He was transported to Boone County Jail.
At 1:52 p.m. Monday, April 1, Andrew Livingston of Angola was arrested on South Ford Road at Huntington Woods for driving while a habitual traffic violator.
At 6:23 p.m. Sunday, March 31, Lindsay Toth of Valparaiso reported a vehicle had left the scene of an accident between 12:40 p.m. and 6:23 p.m. that day. The police report states her vehicle was struck in the rear on the 1600 block of West Oak Street while she worked, with no contact or other information left at the scene by the offender.
In accident news, at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, Lorene Wright, 41, of Zionsville was driving a black 2004 Acura MDX, and Mariaveronica Cordero, 40 , of Carmel was driving a black 2005 Honda CRV. The police report states both drivers were northbound on Zionsville Road at the 96th Street stoplight. Wright was behind Cordero and was distracted by children in the vehicle when she rear-ended Cordero’s vehicle. The estimated damage is $1001 to $2,500.
At 12:14 a.m. Sunday, March 30, Larry Neer, 56, of Zionsville was driving a black 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe, and Donald Peterlin, 36, of Whitestown was driving a gray 2002 Volvo V70. The police report states Peterlin was driving behind Neer east on State Road 334 approaching Bentley Drive. Neer said Peterlin slowed down and turned on his left-hand turn signal appearing to prepare to turn left onto County Road 950 East. Neer then began to pass Peterlin in the right-hand passing lane when Peterlin cut in front of him to turn right onto Bentley Drive, causing Neer to strike the side of his vehicle. Peterlin said he did not recall wanting to turn left, and he could have been in the center lane when he began to turn right. Witness Jessica Yeaman said she was standing in her driveway and saw Peterlin cut across traffic directly into the path of Neer.
