At 7:55 p.m. Saturday, May 10, David Rynard of Zionsville reported a vehicle leaving the scene of an accident. The police report states Rynard’s vehicle was struck by another vehicle while parked in the Boone Village parking lot. The other vehicle left the scene.
At 7:40 p.m. Saturday, May 10, Matthew Mitchell, 19, of Indianapolis was arrested for operating a vehicle while never licensed at the intersection of County Road 975 East and the Spring Knoll subdivision.
At 5:27 p.m. Saturday, May 10, Jennifer Sherrill, 33, of Plainfield was arrested for driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction. The police report states she was stopped for speeding on the 5500 block of 96th Street.
At 1:45 p.m. Saturday, May 10, Tom Casalini of Zionsville reported criminal mischief. The police report states that between May 1 and May 10, graffiti was put on a building he rents on Main Street.
At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, Taylor Slavens, 18, of Zionsville, and Jeffrey Hentschel, 19, of Indianapolis were arrested for possession of alcohol by a minor. The police report states police officers noticed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Creekside Park, and located the two individuals in the park. Both tested positive for alcohol, and were transported to Boone County Jail.
At 6:43 p.m. Friday, May 9, Archie Callen III, 26, of Indianapolis was arrested for driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction. The police report states he was stopped for a traffic violation at 5100 W. 96th St.
At 11:49 a.m. Friday, May 9, John Knabel of Zionsville reported identity theft. The police report states his credit card number was used fraudulently between May 2 and May 9. The estimated loss is $2.
At 11:44 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, Remigio Tadeo, 34, of Speedway was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The police report states he was stopped for erratic driving on Ford Road at Starkey Road. Field sobriety tests indicated he had a blood alcohol level of .17 percent. He was taken to Boone County Jail.
At 7 p.m. Monday, May 5, Virginia Spencer of Zionsville reported a violation of a protection order involving e-mail at her place of work at noon that day.
At 6 p.m. Monday, May 5, Sean Melichar, 18, of Zionsville was arrested for intimidation. The police report states the ZPD were called to the 0 block of Waterford Drive for a domestic disturbance. A wall inside the home, screen door and ceramic hanging decoration were damaged.
In accident news, at 7:54 p.m. Thursday, May 8, Cody Richardson, 22, of Lebanon was driving a 2005 Ford Special ambulance. The police report states Richardson was responding to a medical call at Hoosier Village on 96th Street. The normal parking spot for ambulances was taken, and when Richardson attempted to drive under a canopy to the front door, the vehicle struck metal flashing, just under the “low clearance” sign. The estimated damage is $1,001 to $2,500.
At 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, Kyle Hoover, 18, of Zionsville driving a tan 2003 Hyundai Elantra, and Theresa Hatton, 61, of Zionsville was driving a white 2004 Ford Explorer. The police report states Hoover was driving west on State Road 334 while Hatton attempted to travel southbound across S.R. 334 from the CVS parking lot when she struck Hoover’s vehicle. Hoover was transported to St. Vincent Hospital. The estimated damage is $5,001 to $10,000.
At 4:18 p.m. Monday, May 5, Carl McWhirter, Jr., 59, of Greenfield was driving a maroon 2001 Dodge 150; Deborah Lyon, 47, of Zionsville was driving a red 2005 Chevrolet TRL; and Francine Berrios, 52, of Zionsville was driving a black 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The police report states all three were driving east on 96th Street approaching Zionsville Road, with Berrios first, Lyon second and McWhirter third in line. McWhirter stated he looked down, took his eyes off the road, and rear-ended Lyon’s vehicle, pushing her into Berrios. The estimated damage is $750 to $1,000.
At 2:50 p.m. Thursday, May 1, Arielle Coy, 16, of Zionsville was driving a black 2008 Jeep SUL, and Heather Rogers, 40, of Zionsville was driving a maroon 1999 Buick LLF. The police report states Coy was stopped at a stop sign in the parking lot of Zionsville Community High School and turned left onto Mulberry Street. Coy stated a bus had just turned right onto Mulberry Street and she couldn’t see traffic coming in the other lane. As Coy’s vehicle entered the roadway, Rogers struck it. The estimated damage is $1,001 to $2,500.
