Police reports for July 16

At 6:16 p.m. Sunday, July 13, Mark Lutz of Chicago was arrested for possession of marijuana. The police report states Lutz was arrested in the 11200 block of North Michigan Road and was taken to the Boone County Jail.

At 3 p.m. Saturday, July 12, Jerome Hegeduis of Zionsville reported theft. The police report states a Sirius satellite radio was stolen from his vehicle in the 9000 block of Hearthstone Drive between July 3 and July 9. The estimated loss is $75.

At 10:41 a.m. Friday, July 11, Simon Hunter of Vaughn Motorwerks in Zionsville reported theft. The police report states a black 2002 Kaufman Trailer sitting on the lot in the 7400 block of Mayflower Park Drive was stolen between July 4 and July 11. Estimated loss is $1,600.

At 5:34 p.m. Thursday, July 10, Tudor Panta of Zionsville reported theft and unauthorized vehicle entry. The police report states an iPod was stolen from his vehicle in the parking lot of the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library. The estimated loss is $300.

At 2:10 p.m. Thursday, July 10, the Zionsville Police Department served a warrant for failure to appear to Gretchen Thomas of Zionsville.

At 11:27 a.m. Thursday, July 10, Elton Brooks of Zionsville reported theft. The police report states a handicap mirror tag, a pair of sunglasses, and a flashlight were stolen from his vehicle in the 8800 block of West Cobblestone Drive. The estimated loss is $500.

At 11:33 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, David Smith of Zionsville and Peter Devietien of Carmel were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The police report states Zionsville police units observed a suspicious vehicle on Holiday Road and C.R. 975 East. Officers arrested two adults and one juvenile for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

At 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, Michael Marsh of Zionsville reported theft. The police report states two catalytic converters were stolen in the 5400 block of West 96th Street between 7:30 p.m. June 26 and 6:30 a.m. June 27. The estimated loss is $1,717.23.

At 2 p.m. Monday, July 7, Miguel Anaya of Indianapolis was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The police report states Anaya was pulled over at the corner of Ninth Street and Oak Street.

In accident news, at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, July 12, Pamela McKinney, 57, of Zionsville was driving a white 1998 Nissan Sentra. The police report states McKinney was traveling in the parking lot of Boone Village. She attempted to make a left turn and didn’t notice a stop sign in the roadway, and ran over the stop sign. The estimated damage is $1,001 to $2,500.

At 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12, Cynthia Ludwig, 57, of Greenfield was driving a red 2003 Kia Sorento, and Sarah Fritz, 23, of Zionsville was driving a black 2000 Kia Sportage. The police report states Ludwig was driving south on Ford Road approaching State Road 334 with Fritz driving behind. When the light turned red, Ludwig stopped and Fritz collided from behind. The estimated damage is $750 to $1,000.

At 3:18 p.m. Sunday, July 6, Patrick Mallett, 20, of Zionsville was driving a beige 2000 Toyota Carolla, and Kein Huynh, 57, of Carmel was driving a brown 1998 Buick LeSabre. The police report states Mallett was driving east on 106th Street when he reached over to pick up something that had dropped in the car. As he did so, the car crossed into the other lane as he entered a curve, and collided with Huynh who was driving west in the curve. Both drivers were treated by Zionsville Fire Department medics and transported to St. Vincent Hospital for minor injuries. The estimated damage is $10,000 to $25,000.
