Police reports for Sept. 17

Staff report

At 11:54 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, Jeff Teague of Zionsville reported theft. His vehicle was vandalized and golf clubs were stolen while it was parked at St. Alphonsus Church, 1850 West Oak Street. The estimated loss is $1,200.

At 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, Karen Czajkowski of Zionsville reported theft. She reported an unknown person stole the license plate from her vehicle in the 1400 block of Saylor Court.

At 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, Timothy Isley of Zionsville reported theft. He reported his cell phone stolen at the Mulberry Fields skate park, which was found damaged in the Stonegate development. The estimated loss is $300.

At 7:01 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, Christine Warford of Zionsville was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement, and battery on a police officer. Zionsville police responded to a report of domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed no disturbance but Warford became combative toward police officers. She was transported to the Boone County Jail.

At 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, Karen Strandjord reported theft. She had $1,000 taken from her bank account on Sept. 6.

At 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, David Parker of Zionsville reported theft. He reported his Trek bicycle stolen in the 300 block of West Hawthorne Street.

At 1:59 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, Jonathan Schaefer of Zionsville reported theft. Vanderburgh County prosecutor garnished his Federal Tax Return to pay for back- owed child support. The payment was made for the suspect’s child using the victim’s stolen Social Security number. The estimated loss is $1,496.

At 4:48 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, Marc Howden of Zionsville reported burglary. He reported a suspect forced entry into his home. Upon returing home, he noticed his television missing.

In accident news, at 6:59 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, Kyle Koker, 42, of Indianapolis was driving a green 1995 GMC Suburban, and Michael Schaumberg, 26, of Indianapolis was driving a maroon 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. Schaumberg was driving north on First Street when Koker pulled out of the Dairy Queen parking lot. He did not see Schaumberg and struck his vehicle at the front driver’s side. The estimated damage is between $2,501 and $5,000.

At 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, Arthur Cave, 52, of Zionsville was driving a red 2004 Dodge Ram 3500. He was pulling out of a space in the Boone Village parking lot, and made contact with a parked green 1999 Ford Taurus owned by Douglas Brink of Indianapolis. The estimated damage is between $2,501 and $5,000.

At 4:37 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, Jaclyn Gottschalk, 19, of Zionsville was driving a yellow 2008 Benzhou moped. Gottschalk was traveling west on West Oak Street, and the vehicle in front of her stopped because of another vehicle turning. She overcorrected her moped, lost control of it, causing her to fall off. Her arm was injured, and she was taken to the hospital. The estimated damage is between $750 and $1,000.

At 7:25 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, Gibrilla Kassim, 47, of Zionsville was driving a blue 2004 Ford Explorer, and Lauren Kossack, 25, of Indianapolis was driving a silver 2005 Ford Escape. Kassim was stopped at the entrance of Zionsville Community High School, and was not allowed to enter the lot. Kossack pulled up too closely behind Kassim, and when Kassim backed up she struck Kossack’s vehicle. The estimated damage is between $1,001 and $2,500.
