Police reports from May 15, 2013


— The following people with name, age, address, charge and arresting information, were booked into the Boone County Jail; charges are preliminary and may be changed subject to review by the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office:

At 9:20 p.m. Monday, May 6, Janice C. Froehlich, 64, of Indianapolis, was arrested for operating while intoxicated. The arrest occurred during a traffic stop near the intersection of U.S. 421 and Sycamore Street.

At 11:33 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, Caitlin Qualkinbush, 19, of Zionsville, was arrested for possession of marijuana. The arrest occurred during a traffic stop near the intersection of Main and Walnut streets.

At 1:45 a.m. Friday, May 10, Sarah Smith, 39, of Zionsville, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and public intoxication. The arrest occurred after police were dispatched to the intersection of Quail Valley Drive and Whitestown Road on a single motor vehicle accident.

At 8:13 p.m. Saturday, May 11, Paloma Van Dyke, 18, of Carmel; Josh Gould, 18, of Zionsville; Carol Cook, 18, of Zionsville; and Megan Geraty, 18, of Zionsville, were all arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest occurred in the 600 block of Sugarbush Drive.

At 10:20 p.m. Saturday, May 11, Frederick Conner, 61, of Gary, was arrested for driving while suspended. The arrest occurred during a traffic stop near the 128-mile marker on Interstate 65.

At 1:28 a.m. Sunday, May 12, Elizabeth Crouch Barber, 51, of Glendale, Colo., was arrested for operating while intoxicated endangering a person, public intoxication, resisting law enforcement and possession of cocaine. The arrest occurred during a traffic stop near the intersection of Brittany Drive and U.S. 421.

The Zionsville Police Department made the following runs:

At 12:39 a.m. Monday, May 6, police responded to the 11000 block of East SR 334 on a suspicious vehicle. As a result, charges were filed with the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office against Benjamin Kahn, 20, of Carmel, for minor consumption of alcohol.

At 12:13 p.m. Monday, May 6, police responded to the 8900 block of Stonewick Way on a hit and run.

At 2:46 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, police received a phone call regarding bank fraud.

At 6:06 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, police responded to the 4700 block of U.S. 421 on a burglary.

At 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, police responded to the 200 block of South Ford Road on a shoplifting theft.

At 3:33 a.m. Thursday, May 9, police responded to the 1100 block of Maxwell Lane on a suspicious activity. As a result, charges were filed with the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office against Kathleen Trax, 18, of Zionsville, for minor consumption of alcohol.

At 8:43 a.m. Thursday, May 9, police issued an information and summons for driving while suspended for prosecutor review on Arturo Pimentel-Cogco, 53, of Indianapolis.

At 3:57 p.m. Thursday, May 9, police received a phone call regarding harassment.

At 2 a.m. Sunday, May 12, police conducted a traffic stop in the 5900 block of West 96th Street. Ronald Bailey, 48, of Plainfield, was determined to be a habitual traffic offender and operating while intoxicated. He was taken to the Boone County Jail.
