Public meetings slated on government reorganization

The public is invited to a series of informational meetings to learn more about the proposed government reorganization. A member of the Zionsville Town Council, Eagle Township Board and/or Union Township Board will be present at each meeting to provide information on the reorganization of these three entities into one political unit. Residents will be asked to vote on the reorganization on Nov. 4. The meetings will be at 7 p.m. on:

• Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1080 Williamsburg Lane in the Colony Woods subdivision;

• Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library, Lora Hussy Room;

• Tuesday, Oct. 14, 9703 Hunt Club Road;

• Thursday, Oct. 16, 10245 Oak Ridge Drive, Oak Ridge subdivision; and

• 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 7251 Hunt Club Lane, in the Irishmans Run subdivision.
