Anderson named head golf coach

Jeff Anderson, assistant coach with the Zionsville Community High School girls golf team, accepted the head coaching position.

He fills the position that was left by Gary Rabb.

“Jeff Anderson is going to do a tremendous job with the girls golf program,” Zionsville Athletic Director Greg Schellhase said. “This is a program with a tremendous amount of potential and Jeff has a clear vision of where the program is and what needs to be done in order to take it to the next level.”

Anderson has been involved in the girls golf program for the past five years. The previous two years he was an assistant coach for the team.

“I am extremely excited and honored to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing group of kids,” Anderson said.

Before coaching at the high school level, Anderson led the Zionsville Middle School program with a total 56-5 record.

“I look forward to working as hard as possible to take Zionsville girls golf to the next level,” Anderson said.

Anderson is also the head girls junior varsity basketball coach and a social studies teacher at the high school.

“He has built positive relationships with his players,” Schellhase said. “He is very dedicated and enthusiastic about the opportunity ahead of him.”
