Sorensen competes at USA Junior Track and Field Championships

Recent Zionsville graduate Dylan Sorensen competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the USA Junior Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. It will be the last time Sorensen competes before heading to Georgetown in the fall. The lone rookie in the field, Sorensen placed 13th out of 19 competitors in the race, running a 9:46.60.



Lueders picks Irish

Zionsville defensive lineman announced Thursday night, June 25, that he will play next season for head coach Charlie Weis and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Projected as a linebacker in college, Lueders, who carries a 4.0 GPA was also looking at Boston College, Stanford and Wake Forest. Leuders was a Class 4A honorable mention All-State selection last season.



Welker chooses the Army

Zionsville’s incoming senior Chris Welker has chosen to continue his playing career at West Point. He was also considering the other military academies, Ivy League schools, Belmont and Western Michigan universities.
