Lady Eagles go 2-1 at Zionsville Invite

---- — The Zionsville girls tennis team went 2-1 at their own invite Saturday, May 3.

The Eagles started the day off topped Center Grove 5-0.

At No. 1 singles, Candice Park topped Jillian Fledderman 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2 singles Silvie Miarkova defeated Katelyn Gray 6-2, 6-3 and at No. 3 singles, Natasha Wujek topped Maddie Weeks 6-2, 6-1.

In doubles play, the Eagles took both points. At No. 1 doubles, Erin Cordill and Lillie Heigl topped Carleigh Hardin and Kaitlyn Walsh 7-5, 5-7, 10-8 and at No. 2 doubles, Sophia Metzger and Emily Hainer topped Madison Smeathers and Kimberley Spindler 6-4, 6-4.

In the second match of the day, Zionsville topped No. 22 Brebeuf 5-0.

At No. 1 singles, Park topped Morgan French 6-2, 6-1. At No. 2 singles, Miarkova topped Zoe Stein 6-4, 7-6 and at No. 3 singles, Wujek defeated Carolyn Davis 6-2, 6-0.

At No. 1 doubles, Cordill and Heigl defeated MacKenzie Lord and Shivali Rao 6-4, 7-6 and at No. 2 doubles, Metzger and Hainer defeated Regan Wagner and Willa Sasso 6-2, 6-2.
