The Zionsville Lady Eagles tennis team showed that they were the top team in the HCC Saturday, May 17 at Fishers High School.
Zionsville placed all five positions in the top-4 of their respective brackets and ran away with the team title.
"Our ladies fought hard all day, stayed mentally focused, and simply wanted this title more than their opponents," Zionsville head coach Matt Moore said in an email. "They have achieved yet another team goal - a goal they more than deserved to achieve."
Zionsville finished with 43 points, four ahead of second place Fishers.
Harrison was third with 38 and HSE was fourth with 37.
At No. 1 singles, Candice Park became the Eagles first No. 1 singles player in the past eight years to win the top flight.
Her 3-0 record on the day improved her mark against HCC foes to 12-0 on the regular season. She beat Fishers Jessica Lorenz in the final.
