Bammer said the Eagles will learn from this and move on as they face Carmel and Avon next.
“We have to work on being tough,” Bammer said. “We need to make sure that when we get blocked, we don’t care. We need to make sure that we have the Zionsville mentality that we’re the best and we need to show it.”
“We’re going to end with a tough schedule,” Jones said. “But I think that every moment of these next few days is a learning experience to go into sectionals. And I think that’s what we’re fighting for.”
The Eagles found out Monday, Oct. 8, that they received a bye in the opening round of the sectional.
Zionsville will play the winner between North Central and Carmel at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20.
