---- — The Zionsville volleyball team has gotten off to a strong start this season. In their opening match, Aug. 20, the Eagles downed University in three sets, 25-10, 2513, 25-11. Zionsville head coach Dawn Jones said one of the keys to the match was the Eagles' serving. The Eagles had 19 aces as a team against the Trailblazers. "I really liked the way we served," Jones said. "In practice we had been working on serving at targets, and I think the girls were pushing it pretty well. And that is good because it was one of our weaknesses last year. That is one key part. The other was serve receive. It was good, but we can be better and have to be in conference." University isn't one of the tougher opponents on the Eagles' schedule. But Jones said it was important for the Eagles to focus on themselves and not play to the level of their opponent. For more of this story, read Aug. 28's Times Sentinel.
