---- — Last year's season-ending loss to Lebanon left a bitter taste in the mouths of the Zionsville boys tennis team. This year, with virtually the entire team back, the Eagles are focused on re-establishing their place in the ranks of the HCC and sectional. "They talk about it almost every day in practice," Zionsville head coach Matt Moore said of the loss to Lebanon. "We use it as motivation when we are going in between drills to hustle a little more and try that much harder. We want to try an extended any advantage we may have and make sure there is no let downs." The Eagles lost No. 1 player Josh Axelson to graduation, but return the other six starters. Moore said Carson Skelly and Nick Ceryak will move up one spot each to No. 1 and No. 2 singles respectively, and the team is close on making decisions for the rest of the squad. Skelly had a 9-5 record in multiple spots last season, while Ceyak was 12-4, including 10-2 at No. 3 singles. With all the experience back, Moore said it has been extremely helpful.
