---- — With two returning state qualifiers and a lot of seniors, the expectations for the Zionsville wrestling team are big. Head coach Bob Brennan's squad has been hard at work since the beginning of November as they prepare for their opening tournament Nov. 23. "We have a lot of good people back," Brennan said. "We have a really strong senior class that are kind of carrying us, and we have had some surprises in our underclassmen. We aren't quite full strength right now due to some injuries, but I think we have a good nucleus so hopefully by Christmas we will have everyone where we want them to be." With the good portion of the varsity roster returning, Brennan said the Eagles have what it takes to take the next step at some of the big tournaments they have. "Last year we placed second in our conference and sectional and we would definitely like to compete for those championships," Brennan said. "For us, it is all about staying healthy, making sure everyone is in the right weight class and good to go. We want to get off to a good start, because we have some good matches early and tournaments early." Two of the big pieces for the Eagles are their two returning state qualifiers.
