---- — After a tough-loss to Hamilton Southeastern earlier in the week, the Zionsville volleyball team was looking to bounce back when they hosted the Zionsville Invitational Sept. 14. The Eagles did just that, topping Logansport, West Lafayette and Cardinal Ritter to win the invitational for the third-straight season. "It is always good to play well, especially at home," Zionsville head coach Dawn Jones said. "To do that all day — it makes up for the last week where we had some tough matches. Today, we were really working on our side. We wanted to make less errors, move the ball to where we needed to and play good defense. I think that happened today." The Eagles started the day with a 25-16, 25-13 win against Logansport. Maren Braun had eight kills in the match, while Megan Carr had seven kills and four blocks. Carlie Vannatta had four kills and six blocks. Cyra Bammer added nine digs and Keegan Kollias had 16 assists. For more of this story, read the Sept. 18 Times Sentinel.
