Optimist Club provides scholarships
The Zionsville Optimist Club is providing two scholarships to Zionsville Community High School graduating seniors.
The first scholarship is for a student pursuing a four-year degree program, and the second is a scholarship for a student pursuing a technical, vocational or associate program.

4-H club to meet
The first meeting of the year for the Zionsville 4-H Club, the Flying Eagles, will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, in the Zionsville Town Hall Community Room, 1100 W. Oak St.
The meeting is open to all youth from grades third through 12th who enrolled by Dec. 15.
New exhibits at SullivanMunce
SullivanMunce Cultural Center, 225 W. Hawthorne St., has two new exhibits on display from now through Feb. 22.
Laura LaForge, a self-taught artist, will exhibit her works in her show, "Classy & Sassy." The exhibit features her portraits, which capture the negative and positive experiences of being a woman.
The other exhibit, "Hats Galore!" consists of a variety of hats from the P.H. Sullivan Museum Collection. Examples will include styles from the late 1900s through the 1960s.
An artist reception will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7.

Library features events this month
The Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library has planned the following programs:
• Warm up with a good book -- Now through Friday, Feb. 28, ages birth through grade five. Pick up a penguin themed reading log and bookmark. The first 200 children to complete their log will receive a plush penguin reading buddy.
• Black, White and Read All Over -- Now through Feb. 28, teens. Pick up a challenge sheet at the reference desk, write a reading challenge and check them off as you complete them. As you complete challenges, you will be entered to win a prize basket.
