Tri Kappa accepting scholarship applications

Zionsville Tri Kappa is accepting scholarship applications from high school seniors and Zionsville Community High School alumni who are attending college.

Four $1,000 scholarships are available, three for high school seniors and one for alumni.

Categories for high school seniors are education, art/music/dance/drama and charity/volunteer work.

Deadline to apply is Monday, April 14. Applications are available at www.zionsvilletrikappa.org.

Garden Club accepts grant applications

The Village Garden Club is accepting applications for a grant up to $250.

Any Zionsville organization with gardening plans to enhance the community is eligible to receive the grant.

To apply, send a detailed description of the project, including itemized cost, to Carol Gobeyn, 125 Leeds Court, Zionsville IN 46077. Include a telephone number or email address with the submission.

Deadline to apply is Friday, March 21.

New group forms

Zionsville Newcomers and Friends Club is open to residents of Zionsville and surrounding areas.

The group is organized to help area women connect socially. There’s a monthly coffee for members and prospective members. It is open to new and longstanding residents.

Art Center features two artists

Sugar Creek Art Center will feature the works of Maria Muhlenkamp and Joseph Tumasian throughout the month.

Muhlenkamp is a self-taught abstract artist who often incorporates words and mixed media within her paintings.

Tumasian is new to the abstract art scene but is able to capture a combination of color and emotion in his work.

Chamber accepts artist applications

The Zionsville Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications from artists and craftspeople for the 2014 Brick Street Market, which will be May 17.

Blood drive set for Boone County

The Indiana Blood Center has one more blood drive scheduled for this month in Boone County.
