• Mother Goose on the Loose — 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Thursday, April 3, ages 1-2. Toddler fun with singing, fingerplays and nursery rhymes.

• Money Smart Week: Money Madness — 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday, April 7, grades kindergarten through third. Put money knowledge to the test to celebrate Money Smart week.

• Money Smart Week: What’s in Your Wallet — 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, grades fourth through fifth. Make a duct tape wallet or coin purse and talk about ways to earn and save money.

• Money Smart Week: Pennies and Piggies — 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 11, ages 3-6. Stories, rhymes and songs about counting and saving money.

• Tandem Read Book Club: Pie — 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, grades third through fifth plus an adult. Bring a dish for a pitch-in dinner to eat while discussing this month’s book.

Legion hosts steak and catfish dinner

The Zionsville American Legion Post No. 79, 9950 E CR 600 S, will host a steak and catfish dinner Friday, March 14, to help raise funds for a new roof.

The dinner will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with live music from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. All ages are welcome, and there is no smoking in the dining room.

Cost is $9 for a catfish dinner and $12 for a steak dinner.

Welcome center offers activities

The Connie Haimbaugh Community & Welcome Center has scheduled Saturday afternoon game time from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Chess begins Saturday, March 15, and euchre begins Saturday, March 29.

There also will be a Friday morning women’s Kaffeeklatsch from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. beginning March 21.
