Christ Lutheran Church hosts concert

Christ Lutheran Church, 600 N. Ford Road, will be hosting the next segment in their Sounds of the Village concert series at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 15.

The free concert will feature “Music and Musicians of Second Presbyterian Church.”

Listen to organ, piano and vocal music performed by artists such as Dr. Michelle Louer, Dr. John Allegar, Gina Walker and John Brewer.

After the performance, Louer will have a brief presentation on how Second Presbyterian’s music program has expanded in recent years.

Theater group hosts auditions

Off-Main Street Players is holding open auditions for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a book musical with music and lyrics by William Finn.

Auditions will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 16, and Monday, March 17, in the Town Hall Community Room, 1100 W. Oak St. Callbacks will take place on Tuesday, March 18.

Nine adult actors will be cast in the production.

Indy Reads hosts info session

Indy Reads: Boone County is holding a free volunteer information session for individuals interested in helping adults in Boone County learn to read or learn English.

The session is from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at the Lebanon Public Library, 104 E. Washington St., Lebanon.

No experience is necessary, and training is provided.

United Way sponsors event

United Way of Central Indiana will thank their donors and volunteers during an event from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 23.

The event will take place in the Herman G. Wells Community Room at Lebanon High School, 510 Essex Drive, Lebanon.

Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano will be the keynote speaker.
