Summer day camp planned at Maplelawn Farmstead

Maplelawn Farmstead, a 1930s Depression era farmstead, will be presenting a day camp July 14-18 for children entering grades 3-5.

Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Each day, campers will participate in a variety of activities that will give an overview of daily life on an Indiana farmstead during the Great Depression. They’ll learn about a simple time when families had to “make do” with what they had. Campers will enjoy cooking, gardening, preserving, crafting and having fun on the farm.

Register now; registration is limited. Cost is $150 per camper.

For registration information, contact maplelawnfarmstead@hotmail.com.

The deadline for Community Calendar announcements is 5 p.m. Fridays for the following week’s publication. Boone County related announcements are welcome.
