Applicants must be Indiana residents, be a current member of the association or a dependent child or grandchild of a current member of the association, be a high school senior or already attending an Indiana college or university, and majoring in a law enforcement field as a full-time student.

Sorority to award scholarships
Psi Iota XI, a philanthropic sorority, is accepting applications for a $1,000 scholarship from Zionsville high school seniors who will be attending a four-year college or university. The scholarship is open to students pursuing any field, but special consideration may be given to those in the art, music or speech/hearing development areas. Applications will be evaluated on merit and are available at the Zionsville Community High School guidance office. Completed applications are due to that office not later than Friday, April 10. The Indiana 4-H Youth Development Program is seeking families interested in serving as hosts for youth from Japan the weeks of July 23 through Aug. 15. Applications, which must be completed by April 15, are available at www.four-h.purdue.edu.

Members of Zionsville Girl Scout Troop No. 249, working on a local history project to earn their Gold Award, are asking persons who lived in Indiana during the Great Depression to come forward with recipes and stories to contribute to the project.
