Order your Easter eggs now

Psi Iota Xi, a local volunteer organization, is taking orders for chocolate Easter eggs now. Each egg is handmade using four ounces of peanut butter, maple cream or butter cream, then covered with milk chocolate. The eggs are $2.50 each. Each egg is individually wrapped for gift giving. Call Kristen Woodworth at 873-0966 to place your order by Tuesday, March 3.

Sorority to award scholarships

Psi Iota XI, a philanthropic sorority, is accepting applications for a $1,000 scholarship from Zionsville high school seniors who will be attending a four-year college or university. The scholarship is open to students pursuing any field, but special consideration may be given to those in the arts, music or speech/hearing development areas. Applications will be evaluated on merit and are available at the Zionsville Community High School guidance office. Completed applications are due to that office no later than Friday, April 10. Call Denise Troyer at 626-8171 for more information.

4-H exchange opportunities

The Indiana 4-H Youth Development Program is seeking families interested in serving as hosts for youth from Japan the weeks of July 23 through Aug. 15. Applications, which must be completed by April 15, are available at www.four-h.purdue.edu.

The deadline for Community Calendar announcements is 5 p.m. Fridays for the following week’s publication. Boone County-related announcements will run at least once, and may run additional times, if space provides. If a specific date for the announcement to run is preferred, it should be so noted with the announcement at the time of submission.
