Register for ZUMC summer program

The Children’s Learning Program of Zionsville United Methodist Church, 9644 Whitestown Road, is accepting applications for a summer program for children ages 1 through kindergarten from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday from June 9 to July 30.

Tri Kappa scholarships offered

The Zionsville Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa will award three $800 scholarships this spring. Two are for Zionsville Community High School seniors; the third will be given to a student entering his or her sophomore year of college. Selection of the recipients will be based on academic achievement, strong goals for the future, extracurricular activities, work experience and volunteer service. Applications must be in by Monday, April 6. Call Molly Kincaide at 873-0023 for more information.



Sorority to award scholarships

Psi Iota XI, a philanthropic sorority, is accepting applications for a $1000 scholarship from Zionsville high school seniors who will be attending a four-year college or university. The scholarship is open to students pursuing any field, but special consideration may be given to those in the art, music or speech/hearing development areas. Applications will be evaluated on merit and are available at the Zionsville Community High School guidance office. Completed applications are due to that office not later than Friday, April 10. Tennis leagues forming

The Team Witsken ladies 2.5 tennis league is forming for the spring season. Matches will be played at

6:30 p.m. on Mondays May 11 through July 20 at Zionsville Middle School and at Zionsville West Middle School.

There is a $55 fee which includes balls, court fees and tournament prizes. Checks are due to Team Witsken, 1933 S. County Road 825 East, Zionsville, IN 46077 by April 14.

The Team Witsken Men’s Advanced summer league is a new league for men at the 4.0 to 5.5 playing level. A draft will take place on April 26 for doubles teams. Matches will be played on Sundays at
