Community Calendar for April 15


• Union Elementary School, 11750 E. County Road 300 South, 733-4007: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 15. Call for appointment.

• Stonegate Elementary School, 7312 W. Stonegate Drive, 873-8050: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 16. Call for appointment.

In addition, bring proof of residency (utility bill, purchase agreement, any document showing name and address); original birth certificate; immunization records; picture of child that the school can keep.

If you are not sure which school your child will attend, check attendance boundaries on the district Web site (www.zcs.k12.in.us), call ZCS Transportation at 873-1237 or call any elementary school.

Dress for Success seeks women’s clothes

Dress for Success, an organization that provides business clothes for needy women entering the work force, is asking for donations to be dropped off at ERA Heritage, 111 S. Main St.

Bring in suits, dresses, blouses, skirts, shoes and purses to donate between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday, April 16, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18.

Z’Friends to meet steakhouse

The Z’Friends organization will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16, at Kazan’s Japanese Steakhouse, Seafood and Sushi, 2412 Lake Circle Drive, Indianapolis (northeast corner of 86th Street and Township Line Road). All Zionsville residents are welcome to attend. Come and bring a friend.

Public Library

meetings on tap

The personnel committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. and the library board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16, both in the first floor Lora Hussey Room at the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library, 250 N. Fifth St. The meetings are open to the public.

Women’s club

to meet April 17

The Zionsville Woman's Club will meet at the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library, 250 N. Fifth St.. at 1 p.m. Friday, April 17. Mrs. John Brant, Jr. is the hostess, Mrs. Dale Meyer co-hostess. The program will be presented by Mrs. Robert Brueckman, the topic “Chicken Soup for the Gardners Soul.”
