Senior services offers trips and classes

The following are events and activities taking place at Boone County Senior Services, 515 Crown Pointe Drive, Lebanon. Call 765-482-5220, 873-8939, or e-mail jbrower@booneseniors.org to register or for more information.

• Bridge and Euchre — 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Wednesday in the Community Room.

• Van trips — 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 24, Old Country Buffet, Carmel; 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, Eiteljorg Museum, Indianapolis; 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, Rick’s Boatyard Cafe, Indianapolis; 5 p.m. Thursday, April 30, Civic Theater, “Twentieth Century.”

• Stepping Stones to New Beginnings — a widowed persons support group, will meet for lunch Thursday, April 23, at Red Lobster, 38th Street, Indianapolis. Carpool will meet at the Cabin at 11:30 a.m.

• Caregiver Support Group — 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in the computer room.

• Free Spring Lawn Care Class — 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 24. Instructor Dick Huber, certified advanced Purdue master gardener, will help people who want a good-looking lawn with minimum investment of time, effort and money.

• Beginners’ Line Dancing Class — 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays, April 24 and May 1; intermediate dancers can join from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cost is $6 per lesson; registration required.

• Medicare Workshop — 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, April 28.

• Boone County Genealogical Society — 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, Thorntown Library. 124 North Market St., Thorntown.

Memorial Library events

• Mud! — 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. , Thursday, April 23, for ages 3 to 6. Wear play cloths and make a delicious pudding painting.

• Animal Adventure Series: Frogs — 1 p.m. Friday, April 24, ages 3 to 6. Meet at the library for storytime fun; then walk to the Nature Center to learn about the real animals.

• Fine Art as Inspiration for Garden Design —2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25, Lora Hussey Room. All ages.

• Foster Chick Care Class — 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, ages 7 and up. Learn about the care of chicks and pass the test.
