at Memorial Golf Classic

The 2009 Bruce Coons Memorial Golf Classic will take place Wednesday, May 27, at the Ulen Country Club, 100 Country Club Drive, Lebanon. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., followed by the “shotgun start” of the tournament at 1 p.m. The event will be 18-hole scramble format, with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, and a $25,000 hole-in-one contest. Entrance fee is $80, and includes greens fees, cart, prizes and a buffet lunch.

Parks board announces public meeting

Zionsville Parks and Recreation will have a public meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 28 at the Zionsville Lions Club, 115 S. Elm St. All are welcome.

The meeting will include a presentation by Rundell Ernstberger Associates of various concept plans developed for Elm Street Green park.

Initial ideas for the park were voiced by residents during the last Parks Board Meeting on Wednesday, May 13.

Traders Point Creamery to offer free ice cream

In honor of Traders Point Creamery’s new Creamline Artisan Ice Cream, the business is offering free cone day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 30 on its organic dairy farm.

They will also offer free hayrides, tours and calf petting. Tours will be available at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. The business is located at 9101 Moore Road, Zionsville.

Boone County Chamber slates golf outing

The Boone County Chamber of Commerce golf outing will take place Wednesday, June 3, at Ulen Country Club, 100 Country Club Drive, Lebanon. Contact the Chamber office at (765) 482-1320 or visit www.boone.chamber.org to register. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, May 27.
