Decorate ornaments for community tree

Young children and students are invited to decorate ornaments for the Zionsville community Christmas tree. Pick up ornaments at participating merchants along Main Street and in Boone Village and return them decorated to Serenity, 135 S. Main St. by Friday, Nov. 21. Come to the Community Tree Lighting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29. Call 873-5590 for more information.

Village gardeners

to lunch

The Village Garden Club will have its Christmas luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at The Columbia Club, 121 Monument Circle, Indianapolis. Guests are welcome; tickets are $25 per person. Checks may be sent to Jane Fay, 5130 Green Braes E. Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46234 before Tuesday, Nov. 25. Lions Club fruit sale under way

Enjoy Florida Indian River grapefruit, Florida naval oranges, Washington red delicious apples or Washington yellow delicious apples from the 20th Annual Lions Club Scholarship fruit sale going on now. Place orders online until Wednesday, Nov. 26, at www.zionsvillelions.com or with an order form from any Lions Club member. All proceeds support the $3,000 Zionsville Lions Club Scholarship awarded to an outstanding service-minded student from Zionsville Community High School. Call 873-5540 for more information.

with Santa

Begin the Christmas season at Tri Kappa’s annual Breakfast with Santa Saturday, Dec. 6, at Pleasant View Elementary School, 4700 S. County Road 975 East. Enjoy a hot breakfast, a visit and picture with Santa, crafts and more. Seatings are at 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.; tickets are $8 per person.

Special needs Christmas scheduled

People with special needs and their families are invited to join Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves for an evening of free photos with Santa, games, story-telling, sleigh rides, cookies and more from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library, 250 N.
