ZCC hosts seminar

Zionsville Christian Church, 120 N. Ninth St., will host a free educational seminar about the A, B, C, Ds of Medicare.

The seminar will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the church. Call 873-5301 to register.

Hit the Bricks slated

The Zionsville Optimist Club will hold its 31st annual Hit the Bricks 5-mile run on Saturday, Oct. 5.

The event will begin at 8 a.m. at Zionsville Community High School, 1000 Mulberry St.

The top three finishers for men and women will receive gift certificates, and all participants are eligible for raffle prizes.

Proceeds from the event support scholarships and local youth activities.

4-H plans clinic

The 37th Central District Judges, Leaders, and 4-H Volunteers Clinic will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 5, in the Witham Health Services Pavilion on the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds, 1300 E CR 100 S, Lebanon.

Sessions will be held on a variety of topics centered on judging 4-H projects and volunteering as leaders with 4-H. Registration fee is $15 and includes a breakfast snack.

Nature Center offers fall programs

The Zion Nature Center has planned the following events throughout October:

• Animal Adventures: Animal Homes — 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, ages 3 through 6. Meet at the library for a story, then walk to the nature center to search for real animal homes.
