Aquatic center offers programs

The Zionsville High School Aquatic Center, 1000 Mulberry St., will offer multiple lessons and classes for the fall season. The pool is open to the public for lap swim and family swim every day of the week along with group lessons for beginner to advanced swimmers, kindergarten after-school programs and a Masters program. SullivanMunce presents scrapbooks exhibit

The SullivanMunce Cultural Center, 225 W. Hawthorne St., presents the following upcoming events:

Zionsville Family Scrapbooks - now through Saturday, Aug. 31. This exhibit will feature antique scrapbooks and photographs of Zionsville families from the SullivanMunce Archive Collection. Explore artifacts never before exhibited and help the center identify missing information.

Visual Poetry - now through Sept. 28. Eight eclectic photographers will be featured in this exhibit ranging from creative portraiture, abstracts, black and white landscapes, still lifes, cityscapes and iPhone art. Photographers featured include Marla Misamore, Becky Brill, Eileen Cote, Rad Drew, Robert Gough, Freddie Kelvin, Barry Lively and Bill Miller.

The SullivanMunce Cultural Center is located at 225 W. Hawthorne St. in Zionsville, two blocks west of the brick Main Street. Hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 317-873-4900 or visit www.sullivanmunce.org for more information.

Student teaching scholarship available

Delta Kappa Gamma's Beta Epsilon Chapter is offering a $500 scholarship to assist a young woman during her semester of student teaching. Applicants must be Boone County residents, enrolled in a college or university, have an education major and be preparing for student teaching during the 2013-14 school year. Applications must be completed and returned to the scholarship committee by Aug. 15.
