Registration open for golf tourney


Registration is open for the Sixth Annual Jim Rosenstihl Memorial Golf Tournament.


The tournament will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Ulen Country Club.


Cost is $100 per player and $400 per foursome. Thee event funds scholarships for one high school senior girl and one high school senior boy who has been a player, manager or trainer. Rosenstihl is a former Lebanon and Zionsville coach and was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 1984.

Library features family events


The Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library has planned the following:


• Summer Hours -- The library will be closed on Sundays during the summer from now through Sunday, Aug. 1. Normal Sunday hours of 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. will resume Sunday, Sept. 7.


• Where the Wild Things Are -- 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, ages 3-6. Read the classic story and do fun and wild crafts.


• Go Wild for Inventions -- 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, ages 8-11. Try your hand at making an exploding chain, and create your own simple machine.


• Small Space Garden Design -- 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 25. Master gardener and garden designer Amy Mullen offers tips and tricks for making the most of your limited garden space, including designing by zones, using vertical gardening, and choosing plants that serve more than one purpose.


• Crafty Friends -- 10 a.m. to noon Thursdays, June 26, and July 24. Gather with other friends and create crafts to sell in support of the library. No crafting skill required.


• Go Wild Camp-out Style -- 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Thursday, June 26, ages 6-8. Find out what animals you will encounter during a library camp-out and make s'mores.


• The LEGO Movie -- 2 p.m. Thursday, June 26, families. Bring a cup with a lid, and the library will provide lemonade and popcorn.
