Zionsville — Christmas stories

Mary Robison will be reading children’s Christmas stories from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at Robert Goodman Jewelers, 106 N. Main St.

The books are from Robison’s private collection of Christmas stories.

Indiana Brass

performs concert  

The Indiana Brass Quintet will present its 14th annual Christmas concert on at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 1525 Mulberry St., Zionsville.  The concert is free and open to the public.

A staple of the St. Francis Concert Series since its inception, the Indiana Brass Quintet ushers in the Christmas spirit with a festive program of holiday favorites.  The concert will feature arrangements of well-known Christmas carols, seasonal repertoire and a carol sing-a-long.  Members of the quintet hail from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.  Bring the entire family and enjoy the spirit of Christmas, brass style.

A reception will follow the concert. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be cheerfully accepted. For more information about this event, call A. Lee Barlow, music director, or Pat Guiney, parish administrator, at 873-4377.

TFBC offers free classes

Tobacco Free Boone County, 116 W. Washington St., will host free stop smoking classes Thursdays, Jan. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.

The classes will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Attendees will learn new coping skills and meet others trying to quit.
