Volunteers needed for clean-up
Volunteers are needed to clean up trash along Eagle Creek. Volunteers as well as staff of the parks and streets and stormwater departments will be removing trash from the creek between Elm Street Green and Creekside Park from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. Supplies will be provided, but long sleeves, pants and sturdy footwear are required. Contact Todd Settle at 733-0550 for more information or if you have a group that would like to help.
Boy Scouts schedule celebration
Boy Scout Troop No. 358 has planned a celebration for the organization's 90th anniversary this fall. The celebration is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 1870 W. Oak St. Tickets are $75 per person and will include a sit-down dinner and presentation. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund a college scholarship for Troop No. 358 Eagle Scouts. The scouts are asking for the community to search for any memorabilia and photos that could be used in the celebration. Any donations should be left at the church office. Cemetery Association holds meeting
The Hutton Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Zionsville Fellowship Church, 9090 E. Ind. 334. First Tuesday events at fairgrounds The Boone County Extension Homemakers will offer First Tuesday events during the fall. Brenda and Kristi Bush will present do-it-yourself cleansers and lotions on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The annual holiday workshop will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14. The events are open to the public.
