fashion show

The Zionsville Education Foundation will sponsor an In Style Fashion Show and luncheon Friday, March 1, at Boone Meadow Elementary School, 5555 Main St., Whitestown.

Guests will enjoy a reception, light lunch and style show of fashions from Zionsville retailers Lesley Jane, Lilly’s Boutique Gallery, Nikki Blaine Couture, Akard True Value, Wildcat Creek Outfitters and B.Wright Ltd., as well as perennial partner the Secret Ingredient.  A silent auction featuring donations from local merchants will kick-off the event.  

Funds raised benefit all Zionsville schools in the form of teacher grants for innovative educational opportunities.

This year’s raffle will feature the opportunity to win $500 toward Myra Perrin  jewelry from Robert Goodman Jewelers or a stay at a Ft. Myers, Florida condominium.  Raffle tickets are $20 each or 6/$100.  Winners do not need to be present to win and raffle tickets can be purchased from ZEF volunteers or the ZEF office via cash or check  (Raffle ID 130083).

Tickets for the luncheon and style show are $55.00 each.

NatureFest returns March 2

Join friends and support the Zion Nature Center at the 3rd annual Friends of Zion Nature Center NatureFest. From face painting and a “gourmet” cake walk to classic carnival games and educational activities, NatureFest will have something for all ages.  New this year is a petting zoo for the whole family.

The event will be 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at the Zionsville Town Hall, 1100 W. Oak St., Zionsville. Admission is $3 per person, or $10 per family. Children 2 and younger are free. Tickets for activities and games are .50 each or 12 for $5.

Lebanon hosts

war roundtable

The Lebanon Public Library will host the War Years Roundtable at 6:30 p.m. Monday March 11,  in the top floor meeting roo, 104 E. Washington St. Lebanon. Dan Gamble, Sergeant, U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Infantry Division  will present:

1969 -1970 Vietnam Battlefield Report including the Invasion of Cambodia and the Battle of Phoc Long Province. NVA (North Vietnamese Army)

battle gear will be on display. Dan is the recipient of the Bronze Star, an Air Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. The War Years Roundtable is a military
