Maia Mahoney and David Donahue

John and Fabia Mahoney of Bethesda, Md., announce the engagement of their daughter, Maia Mahoney of West Lafayette, to David James Donahue of Zionsville. He is the son of James and Carol Donahue of Zionsville.

The bride-elect in a 2001 graduate of Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., and a 2005 graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass., with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and computer science and a minor in biomedical engineering. She is pursuing a doctorate degree in biomedical engineering at Purdue University. The bridegroom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Zionsville Community High School and a 2005 graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering. He is a process engineer with Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis.

The couple plan an Aug. 4, 2007, wedding, at First Friends Church in Indianapolis.
