Mackie and Harrington wed


Whitni Anissa Lee Mackie of Greenwood and Richard “Clayton” Thomas Harrington of Camp Lejeune, N.C., were married on Sept. 4, 2009 at the Bridal Path Chapel in Nashville, Tenn. with Steve Hardwick officiating.

Whitni is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Warner and Tonya Mackie of Greenwood. She is a 2009 graduate of Center Grove High School in Greenwood and is attending Paul Mitchell Beauty School in Indianapolis. She is employed at Charlotte Russe in Greenwood.

Richard is the son of the late Richard Harrington of Mooresville and Angela Harrington of Zionsville. He attended Zionsville Community High School until his senior year and graduated from Central High School in Brookesville, Fla. in 2008. The groom is a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

A reception for the couple was at The Bridal Path Chapel. They spent their Honeymoon in Nashville, Tenn.

The couple will reside in Jacksonville, N.C. after the groom’s deployment to Afghanistan.

The maid of honor was Gabrielle Gilbert. Bridesmaids were Whitni’s sister, Mackenzie Mackie and Richard’s sister, Carissa Harrington.

The best man was Ryan Saf. Groomsmen were Whitni’s brother, Zachary Mackie and Richard’s brother, Connor Bomar. The ring bearer was Whitni’s brother, Nicholas Mackie.
