Grieser twins earn Eagle Scout

Photo submittedDOUBLE EAGLE: Will and Luke Grieser were recently recognized for earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

Will Grieser and Luke Grieser, of Zionsville, have earned the highest advancement awarded by the Boy Scouts of America — the rank of Eagle Scout. The twin brothers are freshmen at Zionsville Community High School and members of Troop 804, chartered by American Legion Post 79.

Will and Luke have followed similar paths on their journey to Eagle. Both have been very active in leadership roles within the troop. They each completed a 250 hour Service Project for Zionsville Youth Soccer Association. Luke’s project painted the entire inside of the ZYSA Indoor Facility. Will’s project built and installed 100 feet of shelves to display ZYSA’s many championship trophies and also painted the restrooms in the concession building.

Will and Luke both received their Eagle rank on July 11, 2018, at the age of 14. They were recently honored for their achievement at Troop 804’s Court of Honor. Will and Luke were also both awarded the Bronze, Gold and Silver Palms, each of which signifies the completion of an additional five merit badges beyond the 21 required to earn Eagle.

Will and Luke are the sons of Scott and Lisa Bostock Grieser, of Zionsville. Their grandparents, Lonny and Norma Bostock of Ayr, Neb., were able to attend the ceremony.
