Rev. C. Davis Reed has joined the staff of St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church.
His new beginning comes after the retirement of Rev. Sandra Michels and the interim ministry of Rev. Kathleen Cullinane.
After a career in business, Reed graduated from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary and was ordained to priesthood in 2008. He has since held a position of Associate Rector at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Carmel.
Reed now serves on the Board of Trustees at Seabury-Western and served as co-president of its alumni association.
Reed and his wife, Carol Rogers, reside in Indianapolis. In addition to Carol’s two children, they have five grandchildren.
Reed said one thing he follows is from an Episcopal prayer, it is the phrase: I will with God’s help.
“That encompasses our ministry here,” Reed said. “We will do our best with God’s help.”
Reed will conduct his first services at St. Francis at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, and 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 9. The public is invited to attend.
