Lebanon has a new first baby.

Mayor Matt and Abby Gentry brought Mason Todd Gentry into the world at 7:22 p.m. Jan. 29. He weighed 10 pounds and 4 ounces at birth and was 22.5 inches long. The mayor emailed The Lebanon Reporter a batch of photos on Thursday with a few comments.

It appears that Mason and Abby are home, by the photos.

In a social media post, Gentry said Mason and Abby are healthy and happy.

“Mason has already changed my world,” he writes. “I have no doubt being a father will be the most challenging, exciting, and rewarding adventure of my life. I am lucky to have Abby next to me every step of the way. The outpouring of love and support has been amazing. Thank you so much.”

Because of the baby’s birth that week, the mayor missed the Lebanon Rotary Club’s 100th anniversary celebration where he was supposed to present the key to the city to Rotary International president Mark Maloney. Attendees were pleased to hear the news of Mason’s birth.

Mason will have professional photos taken on Monday.
