Following the fireworks display, the Zionsville Police Department will place the following traffic diversion plan into effect.
All traffic exiting Lions Park will be directed to travel east to US 421. No traffic will be allowed into Zionsville on Sycamore from US 421. Southbound traffic on Main Street at Sycamore will be directed to go south on Zionsville Road and east on 106th Street (unless you live off Zionsville Road, in Vonterraor Inglenook or are supporting local businesses).
Eastbound traffic on Sycamore from First Street will be directed to go southbound on Zionsville Road to 106th Street and then east (unless you live off Zionsville Road, in Vonterraor Inglenook or are supporting local businesses).Traffic will not be permitted to travel southbound on First Street south of CedarStreet.
Raintree Drive and Spring Drive traffic will be directed to go east to US421. No traffic will be allowed to travel west on 106th Street from Bennett Parkway, Dahlia Drive, LIDS or Creekside CorporatePark.
Drivers wishing to access 96th Street from the downtown area are encouraged to take Oak Street west to Ford Road and then south on Ford or go north and take Willow Road to US 421 and then south. Side street traffic trying to access Oak Street should expect lengthy delays so patience will be required.
Motorists wishing to enter the business district are encouraged to use perimeter routes to avoid the congestion.
Elm Street will be closed to motorized traffic after 4 p.m. and will be a no parking zone prior to 4 p.m. HawthorneStreet east of MainStreet will be designated handicap parking.
