Santa's mailbox

SullivanMunce Cultural Center has plans for several annual holiday special events.

On Saturday, Dec. 7, Victorian Holidays at the SullivanMunce opens with the SMCC Guild’s annual bake Sale featuring delicious, homemade treats and goodies all wrapped up and ready for gift-giving or to enjoy yourself.

The Holiday Gift Shop features handcrafted gifts and items by Indiana artists and artisans that are perfect for holiday gift-giving. Items include art, ceramics, jewelry, clothing, scarves, ornaments and more. The gift shop offers a discount for SullivanMunce members.

Once an annual tradition, the chili bowl sale, returns. Unique, hand-crafted chili bowls, made in the center’s clay studios, are for sale, filled with hot chili and all the fixings for just $10 each. Ceramics instructor, Soyong Kang Partington will have her own ceramic pieces available for purchase, too. Proceeds from the chili bowl sale and ceramics will go towards buying a pugmill for the clay studio. The pugmill will allow artists to recycle clay into a high-quality clay for use in our ceramic classes.

Children’s activities include Victorian crafts, card making and more.

Santa Mailbox Children can drop off their letters to Santa in the mailbox made by Santa himself. Ring the bell to alert the Santa’s elves that a letter has arrived. The elves magically gather letters each day and deliver to Santa. Santa answers all letters that are submitted by Dec. 20 at noon.
