The jury trial for a Brownsburg man who crashed during a police chase in Boone County has been reset for next year.

Joshua A. Light, 40, faces numerous charges after allegedly fleeing a Whitestown police officer trying to make a traffic stop, and crashing into a Zionsville police car.

The incident occurred about 4 a.m. March 23, when Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop for speeding, and headlight and tail light violations, at Ind. 32 and County Road 650 East. The pursuit ended in Hamilton County when a Zionsville Police Department vehicle was struck and damaged by the suspect’s car.

No one was injured.

Light was charged with resisting law enforcement with a motor vehicle, criminal recklessness with a motor vehicle, operating while intoxicated, and public intoxication. The suspect was also wanted on a warrant in Hendricks County.

The jury trial, set for Oct. 22, is now set for Feb. 11, in Boone County Superior II, with Judge Bruce Petit on the bench.
