At 7:18 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, Zionsville police were dispatched to a drive-off at Village Pantry, 200 S. Ford Road. Officers were informed that a white male with blonde spiked hair and blue jacket, approximately 20 years of age, drove off from one of the gas pumps in a black car without paying. He was last seen driving south on Ford Road. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle but were unable to.

At 11:24 a.m. Monday, March 8, Deborah P’Pool, principal at Eagle Elementary, 350 N. Sixth St., reported theft of several items from classrooms at the school sometime between 5 p.m. on Feb. 26 and 8 a.m. on March 1. Items taken included two digital cameras, $30 in cash, several personal checks and miscellaneous office supplies.

At 8:14 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, L. Page Hawks, 45, of Carmel, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and public intoxication after being stopped traveling west on Ind. 334 and U.S. 421. Zionsville police officers saw the vehicle cross the double yellow line multiple times. Field sobriety tests were administrated, and Hawks was taken to the Boone County Jail. Testing at the jail confirmed that Hawks was driving more than the legal limit.

At 11:52 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, Zionsville police responded to the 4700 block of 116th Street on a report of theft from a vehicle. A purse was taken containing a debit card, Social Security card and prescription medication.

At 8 a.m. Thursday, March 11, Zionsville police took a report of harassing phone calls at Reindeer Auto Relocators, 5100 Charles Court. An unknown person repeatedly called in and said obscene things to the staff. The case is still under investigation.

At 10:23 a.m. Thursday, March 11, Zionsville police were forwarded a credit card fraud investigation from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office in California. The fraud occurred at the Zionsville Speedway gas station, 1390 W. Oak St., at 3 a.m. on Feb. 1. The case is still under investigation.

At 3:24 p.m. Thursday, March 11, Zionsville police took a fraud report from a victim in the 100 block of Kevin Drive. Fraudulent checks had been received totaling $14,000. In addition, three checks were given to the suspect for a total of $2,968.

At 10:16 a.m. Sunday, March 14, John Sides of Zionsville reported that sometime during the previous evening, someone broke the mirrors off of his vehicle while it was parked in the Huntington Woods addition.

At 11:03 a.m. Sunday, March 14, Jeff Thacker, of Zionsville, reported that sometime during the previous evening, someone broke the passenger side mirror from his vehicle while parked in the driveway in the 1100 block of Winterwood Court.

At 2:38 p.m. Sunday, March 14, Andrew Stokely of Zionsville reported that sometime during the previous evening, someone had destroyed two outdoor lamps in his driveway in the 800 block of Sugarbush Ridge.
