A storm that rolled through the area was determined to be the cause of a house fire in Zionsville Sunday evening.

Just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, the Zionsville Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a structure fire at 2506 Brookhaven Court. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the roofline of the two-story home. Crews worked to bring the fire quickly under control, according to a Town of Zionsville press release.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. Preliminary damage estimates for the home and contents may reach as high as $100,000 according to fire department officials.

Whitestown and Carmel fire departments assisted at the scene; Lebanon Fire Department provided fill-in coverage at Zionsville Fire Station 91.
